It is apparent that Scandinavian architecture has revolutionized the paradigm of energy efficient and sleek aesthetic characteristics found in modern cities throughout the world. With that being said, this Scandinavian Cultural Center aims to encompass all the traits that make Nordic influence in Architectural design so unique. These design ideologies are showcased through the Cultural Center’s ability to make the most out of light through sleek interiors, refined materials, and the prioritization of human comfort. The facade helps create unique shadows within interiors while also filtering light from the East and the West. As a result, it makes a unique visual juxtaposition in the given site, all while introducing the community to the beautiful culture that originates from Northern Europe.
